April Ross

April Ross is one of only a few female beach volleyball stars to capture medals at multiple Olympics. In Tokyo over the next several days, she'll try to win her third gold medal with fellow the first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. Ross's dream is to earn her first Olympic Gold. It could be the last chance she'll ever have as she is 39 years old. However, she is certain of taking top honors. If we perform at our very highest or play well I feel like we'll win the gold medal Ross declared on NBC Boston. That's why I'm taking a little bit of luck too. Ross was born in 1982 in Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents as well as a sister. Ross was a competitive athlete in a variety of sports while attending Newport Harbor High School. Her pre-athletic career comprised indoor volleyball as well as basketball as well as running and track. She was definitely superior to the rest in the latter sport. As per her biography her high school days, she was a volleyball player as an outside hitter (middle blocker) and setting (outside blocker). In recognition of her accomplishments she was awarded the Gatorade Award for National Player 1999. The year 2000 was the time she received her the Orange County Athlete of the year award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman might have begun working together in 2017, but Ross had already been a seasoned player at the beach before they came together. In fact, she's had the chance to win numerous events, one of which was with an iconic volleyball player. Ross teamed up together with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and was also Klineman's personal trainer. Together with Kessy Ross, she was a major force in the world circuit, winning the world championship in 2009. The pair eventually picked up an Olympic silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings, the legend team who took home the Olympic gold medal in 2012 in London, edged them out to win the gold medal. Ross became Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's retirement. They both went on to take home the bronze beach volleyball medal at Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. Ross played for the USC Trojans in college years after she graduated the high school she attended. Ross's Trojans experience was impressive. She was an All-American and Pac-10 Freshman of Year in the year 2000, a young freshman. The Trojans were also able to make it to the Final Four with her help. The second season of her career, she experienced a terrible personal tragedy, but managed to earn the honor of being named an All-American. In her last two seasons as a member of the Trojans team they won victory by winning the national title in consecutive years. For her part Ross established her status in the history books by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. The award is given to the most outstanding female college volleyball players across the United States. Ross played international relations as a student at USC. Margie Ross was never able to see her daughter make it to the top of beach volleyball. Ross's mother passed away from breast cancer while she was in her sophomore year at USC. However, she keeps her parents close to her his heart. Margie is a beach lover and in daily life, continues to inspire her.
